As most everyone is aware, the Carthage Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 100 Grant Street on October 22nd, 2022.
I want to reach out to the citizens of this community, our local businesses, and our surrounding communities to say "thank you". The support everyone showed and kind words that we received during and after this event have been tremendous.
The help that we received from our local entities, Carthage PD, Carthage Public Works, Mercy Ambulance, JasCo 911's dispatch center and CWEP was also tremendous. They all stepped up and did an amazing job. A special thank you to our surrounding departments that provided mutual aid. Webb City Fire, Duenweg Fire, Jasper Fire, Carterville Fire and Avilla Fire all came to assist us in this time of need.
