The Carthage Parks Department welcomes everyone to the ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the Carthage Municipal Park Destination Playground on July 3, 2023 at 10:00 am. The ribbon cutting will be held at Municipal Park, 521 Robert Ellis Young Drive.
The Destination Playground was a $875,000 project with Play & Park Structures that took approximately six weeks to complete. The playground focuses on inclusion to include children with disabilities and limited mobility as well.
The project, which was funded by the McCune-Brooks Hospital Trust, was overseen by Parks and Recreation Director Abi Almandinger.
