The City of Carthage is seeking written proposals from a Secretary of the Interior Qualified Architectural Historian who will develop and adopt design guidelines that can be used within the city’s historic districts. The City of Carthage will hire an architectural historian (herein referred to as the “consultant”) that meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications to work with the City of Carthage and the Planning, Zoning, and Historic Preservation Commission. The new Design Guidelines will be used to protect the irreplaceable historic character of the City of Carthage.
