Representatives from Landmark Aquatic recently met on-site with Parks and Recreation Director Richard Bonine, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Roy Sawyer, and electrical professionals as part of the City of Carthage's ongoing evaluation of the Municipal Pool.

The visit marks an important step in assessing the pool's aquatic and electrical systems following safety concerns identified earlier this year. Landmark Aquatic was contracted by the City to conduct a comprehensive review of the facility and develop recommendations for future repairs and improvements.

During the site visit, the team evaluated existing conditions and discussed potential solutions to address both aquatic and electrical system needs. Upon completion of the assessment, Landmark Aquatic will provide repair and improvement options for City Council's consideration.

The assessment will help guide future decisions regarding the pool's infrastructure, accessibility improvements, and long-term use. City officials remain committed to finding a solution that provides a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility for the community.

The City of Carthage will continue to keep residents informed as information becomes available.
